Frequently Asked Questions

If you didnt see an answer to one of your questions please feel free to reach out!

“How far in advance do I need to book with you?”

It’s never to late! Check with us for date availability, we could get arrangements made inside of a week in an emergency.

“What information do you need from me before the wedding day?”

The more info we have the better! Along with our contract we have a detailed questionnaire for you to fill out. This helps the day go by much more smoothly.

“Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like?”

Yes! We love examples of what you would like. There is no way to replicate a photo exactly, but we will make sure to capture the essence of why you love that photo.

“Is it okay if other people take photos while you're taking photos?”

Yes, it’s ok. With just about every cell phone having a camera and some family members bringing a DSLR it’s hard to resist taking photos while your special day is happening. We ask to be respectful with where your taking photos from because of how distracting it can be to our subjects. No other hired photographers can be present while we are shooting.

“If my event lasts longer than expected, will you stay? Is there an additional charge?”

Of course we’ll stay! Our collections are based on hours on location, but there is no stopwatch running on the day of your wedding. Having a reception run a few minutes late is very typical and will not cost anything extra.

“Will the photos be retouched and color balanced?”

Yes! Every photo delivered to you will be retouched for exposure and color balancing. While we do retouch minor blemishes like acne or make up runs we wont edit body shapes, wrinkles, or birthmarks. You’re beautiful just the way you are!

“What is different about getting prints from you vs. buying the printing rights to do it ourselves?”

Photos appear different from a backlit screen to a paper or canvas print. Because of that we edit photos for print differently to achieve their best look. As professional photographers we work closely with pro-exclusive printers who use 100+ year acid free archival paper and have our equipment calibrated for true defining colors that will last a lifetime.

“How long after the wedding do we get to see the photos?”

We are just as eager for you to see our photos as you are. The longest you’ll wait for our photos to be delivered is 3 weeks. We do often sneak our clients a special photo or two well before that while memories are fresh.

“What are the restrictions for sharing photos online or for publication?”

We certainly want you to share your memories and we will as well. All of our photos can be shared on personal social media sites as long as they aren’t used for business or advertising. We ask that no filters be added to our photos changing the look and feel we work so hard to get.

“Do your collections include a second photographer?”

Yes! There are so many "can't miss" moments and special details during a wedding day. We include a second photographer in all of our collections to ensure we capture as many of these as possible! Some destination weddings will only have one photographer traveling for budget reasons.

“What kind of insurance do you have?”
We have extensive liability coverage, which extends to our equipment and us while we're on the job.

“Can you assure us that you have backup equipment?”

We have a rolling suitcase of equipment with us filled with backup cameras, extra batteries, and memory cards, etc., to be sure that all of our bases are covered in the event of equipment failure. Often times you'll see one of us wearing a harness with 2 cameras thought the day.
